WHAT HAPPENS DURING AND AFTER THE TREATMENT?
The laser specifically targets superficial blood vessels or deeper blue veins. The light energy of the laser is absorbed by the vessel causing inflammation and closure. Typically this treatment feels like the snapping of a rubber band with a strong heat sensation. We use a cooling system that allows cold air to comfort the skin for optimum patient satisfaction. Immediately after treatment there may be some redness which typically lasts 1-2 hours. Any side effects are temporary and the return to regular activity is immediate with no down time.
SAFE PROCEDURE
Vein treatments are done safely and effectively with the laser for those affected by spider veins in the most common areas such as legs and face. The laser is able to target the vein with a direct and accurate pulse allowing the vein to completely fade or disappear.
WHICH LASER IS USED?
Our Fotona offers a safe and highly effective treatment with our Nd:YAG laser as the penetration of light reaches a 5-6mm depth allowing the energy from the laser to be absorbed by the blood in the vein, converted into heat, and the vein walls are then destroyed. Our cooling zimmer keeps the treatment as comfortable as possible while also numbing creams are available for purchase for those less pain tolerable patients.
